Forgive my lack of formatting, every time I want to format code on the UT, I can never find any document listing the tags.

SELECT Products.*,Prices.Price ;
FROM Products
inner join Prices on Products.ID = Prices.ID ;
and Prices.ID in ;
(SELECT Prices.ID,MAX(prices.effective_date) FROM Prices ;
group by Prices.ID )

And yes, I know I can do this in 2 queries...
