In the long run, you will probably be much happier to rewrite the app using VFP so you can take advantage of all the features that it has. Otherwise, you will probably waste a lot of time trying to fit a round peg into a square hole. Also, I'd recommend that you use a commercial framework like Visual ProMatrix or Visual FoxExpress -- no sense in reinventing the wheel!
