That's what I read on the book too and I implemented this from the settings you gave me. But still, looking in the log file for nmbd there are several messages where it states that the samba host stopped being the master browser. Both machines are under the same workgroup "workgroup", and I have not been able to create an account for the NT PC on the samba "domain" from the NT network settings.

I've added an "Trust Account" entry in /etc/passwd for it and also added it as a user with smbpasswd -a. Will keep troubleshooting this I guess.
