This is a guess, but FoxFont is not a scalable font, and might not behave as you'd like; it also is not installed under most conditions, so that you may be seeing problems from font mapping. I'd recommend trying to switch to Courier New, a scalable monospaced font, or System, one of the native Windows fonts, to see if that helps at all.
