>I am trying to create a consistent user interface of my app with what I thought was standard behavior of other mainstream Windows apps. i.e. Ctrl+Tab works like I asked in Excel, Word, AutoCAD, etc. Wouldn't my VFP app be a good little app if it complied with this featrure?

Although Excel works this way, I don't see Word doing this on my system. If I press Ctrl+Tab in a Word doc, it inserts tabs. My Windows Interface Guidelines book says that if you're on a tabbed dialog and one of the tabs has focus, Ctrl+Tab is supposed to move to the next tab. But it also says that Ctrl+Tab can be used to cycle through child windows in an MDI interface. However, it says that Ctrl+F6 can also be used to cycle through child windows. Ctrl+F6 works in both Word and Excel, so you're probably better off with that key combination.
