Right... OF CERTAIN RIGHTS....not ALL RIGHTS. And, the meaning here is that the constitution is not meant to DENY or DISPARAGE others retained by the people.

That does not conflict the notion that there are rights confered by the constitution. i.e., the constitution grants those rights that people already have as a birth right. And yes, the constitution also deals with the issue of federalism - to make sure we don't have federal imperialism imposed on confederation of states. i.e. - states rights.

Again, what is your logic?
