Thanks for the reply. As far as I understand it, the Valid method is supposed to fire if you hit the Enter key or tab off a field, regardless of the field value. I did have some code in the valid method which checks to see if the value has been changed. But, I inserted a messagebox at the beginning of the method which should have fired every time the valid method fired.

The strange thing is that it doesn't work even though the value is changed.
