>>I have a textbox whose controlsource is RoutPmt which is a field in a table that is defined N(17,0). When I enter 12345678901234567 in the textbox it displays OK until I tab away from the textbox. When I tab the value turns to 12345678901234560. A zero at the end replaces the 7. No matter what I type in the 17 place of the textbox, it gets replaced with 0 when the textbox loses focus. The INPUTMASK of the textbox is 99999999999999999 (17 9s), and the FORMAT is KZ.

>You also get the same effect if you try entering 17 digits into the field in the browse window (at least with VfP 5) 16 digits or less are ok though !

Playing further - with a N(20,0) field, it looks like only the first 16 digits are retained, all subsequent digits in numbers 17, 18, 19 & 20 digits long are set to 0.
