seems to me 17xx errors relate to drives not working, sometimes hardware and sometimes logical or permission problems!

Is the problem repeatable?

I just found a stupid error in a loop to store data, COPY TO copies all records but doesn't restore the record pointer, so I was getting errors from being EOF(), BUT what was reported was the effect of trying to access drive "" !

Only when I realized I was beyond the last record did the drive error make any sense!
