>>I think that in the context of your expression of feelings, it would generally fit the category of "expletive". Most dictionaries, if not all, will list it as either "obscene" or "vulgar".

>The one I'm looking at says explitives are used to fill-up a sentence, or add force. Profane is defined as blasphemous or vulgar or irreverant. I could see how an Explitive could be interpereted as Profane, but blindingly dismissing an explitive as profane is closed minded. Therefore, when used correctly (which I'll admit is rare in today's America) there are fewer naughty words then we'd like to think there is.

Mike,

Hey.. I saw that profane use of my name.. <g>

I'm with David on this one Mike. I don't intend that to make you feel badly, mind you, though I suppose if I did choose to use your 'rules' and found it 'fun' to torment you I might think differently.. <g>

Oh, and my comment about it taking 'sub-par thinkers' also kind of dovetails into the 'intellectually lazy' remarks of David. Why not challenge yourself if you feel the need to use a profanity and see if you can come up with a more creative approach. I think that it is a lot more fun approach. <g> I mean, what kind of brains does it take to use a gutter word?? Maybe that should be brains instead...

<g>
Best,

DD
