MCSD = 4 exams. Exams expire individually. So if I use the two fox exams to get my MCSD, i dont necessarily have to replace those two exams with the next two fox exams... I just have to worry about always having the 4 bases covered.

That's fine if you are willing to step out of the Fox-Box. It could be that in the next 2-3 years, for folks that want to be certified, they will not have a choice. I recall the big complaints - and justafiably so - that VFP developers could not earn certification based on VFP as a core language. After all, if MS had their way, no VFP 6 exam would exist.
As far as .NET is concerned, the complaints with VFP 6 will not be justifiable. i.e., it will not be appropriate to get certifed in .Net with VFP as a core langauge - since VFP is not, will not be nor should not be part of the .Net framework.
