Unless you reference the table.fieldname in the Replace, it won't work unless the table is the currently selected workarea. Having said that, there is a known "problem" if you do use that syntax and the current alias is at the end of file (EOF). The replace won't work. Always use IN unless the workarea is current and that should correct most (if not all) problems.
