So far, I have never ran into a situation where xCase couldn't handle my view. I would venture to guess that the only views it can't handle, are views that shouldn't exist anyway. Either because of poor database design, or whatever. Also, it's not that I haven't had complex data structures to work with, I'm currently working on a project with over 200 tables.

If and when I do encounter this problem, I would create a program that would generate those views in the database CREATE SQL VIEW...

>Maybe there are no such things?, I didn't get far enuff with the xcase designer before resorting to code.

So though it is easier to define views thru the VFP view tool, I cannot update them into Xcase. What I'm looking for is some way to continue to use Xcase for its strengths, which lie in the area of modeling the DBC, and use VFP and eview for its strengths in creating local views.
>>>Any suggestions would be appreciated.

>>>I raised these and other questions with xCase about two years ago. At that time they had no plans to incorporate such features to support views. You might try e-mailing them and see if they have any suggestions. They responded to my e-mail within a few hours.

>>>My sister in law lives in North Hollywood - about 1/2 block from Burbank. Whenever we go to visit my wife and her sister have to go to the Galorea in Glendale to go shopping. I hate to shop!!! Well, if it is a computer item, or anything related to guitar that is O.K.
