Yes, I know, that pps is PowerPointSlide extension. This file contains some stupid pictures with bunch of blessings and something like: 'This is a letter, which would make your life Happier. Send it to all your friends. You'll see the result in four days" :) (I didn't see it, my husband told me)

Our friend sent a letter to us, in which he confirmed, this letter contained a virus, which was sent by his son by mistake. He sent another letter with the instructions how to cure this virus: Remove something from the registry, etc. I'll check the info at home and see, what can I do. We downloaded latest Norton Antivirus 2001 (from Symantec.com) and scanned our drive. Nothing was found.

>I think your computer is safe, because .pps are the extension for Microsoft PowerPoint files (PowerPointSlide). As far as I know, there are no viruses for .pps.
