Hi again, Grigore.
We received two messages from our friend. First in Russian confirmed, that it was a virus sent by mistake. The second contained following (in English and Russian, I omit Russian translation):
Dear all!
13.12.00 you have reseived a message from
kmichael@comset.net that probably
includes a virus( which opposes you to start *.exe files ). To delete it use
anti-virus program or:
1. Delete "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command" from reg (using
"regedit").
2. Delete file "files32.vxd" from WINDOWS\ directory
I searched our computer, file 'files32.vxd' is not found. I'm not sure, do I need to delete registry entry or not. Could you please check the Registry entry on your computer (does it have this entry and what is there).
Thanks a lot in advance.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
