From my curiosity I downloaded your class and looked through the code. Yes, I see the difference. First of all, your TextBox should be above the grid, while InGrid should be inside the column. Your class is also simpler (at least I think, I understand the code without problems). I would add a demo form, if it's possible. Also I have a habit insert a description in each method.

Anyway, the class is very nice, so I'll think, if I can use it in our applications.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
