>I was just reading how I can make my vfp app faster by leaving the tables on my server and creating web apps for the front end. Web connection was then recommended. I went to the page and they have lots of things they sell. I know I need web connection, what else might I need? I have the Hentzenwerke internet app book. I dont want to make multiple purchases I want to do it all at once so once I turnkey this its done. At least til the users and their needs get involved. :)

All you need is Web Connection 3.52 and a web server. If your interface is going to be a browser, you will need to learn HTML, but the sample code that comes with web connection will take you pretty far. You may need to learn JavaScript if you want to do some validation with the browser on the client side. If you can be sure all your clients will use Internet Explorer, you can gain some functionality.

Rick highly recommends Windows 2000 Server, which comes with Internet Information Services (IIS 5.0). I am not sure of the requirements for a web server machine, but they appear to be fairly minimal (you don't need a state of the art machine with tons of RAM).
