I'm running Beta 1 as a learning tool and really like it. The MS guys were using the RTM version in our meeting this week, it has some nice differences like color coding in the process mapping section. I was told there were a lot of other changes from Beta 1 to RTM but you can't tell much from a two hour demo. It sure looks solid.
You are very correct, you can't get close to that much code for $5K. My concern is that the price will reduce the number of small businesses that can afford it since you must also have SQL Server. My expertise is in the manufacturing area and BTS looks like a near-perfect solution for many problems I've faced in the past. However, good software can't overcome lousy business processes.
Whatever, I'm betting the farm on it and have been working exclusively on integration of legacy apps with BTS since it was announced.
