>thanx to the assistance of Barbara Paltiel, i use a cursor filled with data from various files for a report. the report is broken up into various sections and printing the right stuff at the right time is done using an 'info' field in the cursor and 'print when' in the report designer. to print section column headings on the report i also use the 'info'/print when system. all works well except on HP laser printers where the first line of details is printed over the section column headings. in essence, it looks like there isn't a linefeed after the section column headings are printed - and it only happens (so far) on HP. any ideas??

If you're using a driver(s) supplied by HP, try using a compatible one written by MS (on your OS CD) instead. HP print drivers, lately, have been notoriously buggy.
