VFE has its own support forum at www.f1tech.com. Feel free to drop by and ask any questions you like. I think you'll find an engaged and helpful user community. If it helps in evaluation, there is a third-party book on developing apps in VFE by Bob Archer and Dan Jurden that is for sale at www.hentzenwerke.com. We also offer 5-day hands on developer training classes at least four times a year in Toledo, OH and in other parts of the country, as well as frequent training and mentoring for programming houses and in-house developer teams. We just finished our annual VFE Devcon in Las Vegas, which also included a two day jump-start course. Our training material is expanding all the time - the first set of CDs - six hours of training with extensive printed documentation and multiple zips of the app we create at each stage - will be released this month, with another 8 hour set scheduled to release by February.

>My next Framework purchase is likely to be either MM or VFE so comments on either would be appreciated.<

You seem to be headed in the right direction. MM is a fine framework with a community of faithful users. And of course we put VFE in the same category < g > Both are structured in such a way as to encourage n-tier development and to guide the user through application development using sound OO principles.

If any of us connected with F1 Technologies can be of any help, don't hesitate to contact us either on our web site or you can email me directly.

Good luck. Choosing a good, professional tool can be a huge help in productivity.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
