I think I've resolved the problem.

After reading a lot of older win2k threads.
It seems there is a problem with the FLUSH command when using windows 2000
with windows 98 cleints.

I always use a function called:
COMMIT()

Which saves data depending on the backend being used.

On VFP it just does

tableupdate()
FLUSH

As soon as I commented out the flush it worked amazingly faster.


Just thought I'd post back the resolution. I think there is some issues
microsoft or at least another developer with my problem should note here.
