Facinating stuff.

Regarding Japan, I meant that it resisted European occupation until after WWII. It was anti-western until the occupation by the US, now it is pro-western.

Also, muh of middle Europe was friendly or sympathetic to the Nazi movement. Something that I did not realize until travelling in the region last year.

It is unfortunate that teachers are paid so poorly in the US. Up here, they are a bit better off.
