Yes, there are many factors for successful software application project and the language is just a small part. Check out this article: ftp://ftp.prolib.de/public/why_vfp/Economics_e.doc

Personally, I know I am more productive with VFP than I would be with VB developing _database applications_. That is just my experience. YMMV.
