Our SQL server is 7.0, and our front end is VFP 5 using ODBC driver 3.70. On tables that were created in SQL 6.5, everything is fine. On tables created in SQL 7, an update to a varchar column pads trailing spaces. I can't tell any difference between the tables or columns other than the version of SQL under which they were created.

Any suggestions warmly appreciated.
