George,
I had forgotten if it was or not and I didn't want to post erroneously so I left it out. Thanks.
However, when I say only VFP, I mean desktop/multi-user applications with VFP as the data store. While MS says these are dying out, there are still a large number of them out there to maintain and even some new ones to build. Most of these don't require Office and if they do, that's only a couple hundred bucks instead of the $2K+ for Universal.
>Then there's the MSDN Library. While it's free (now) to registered VFP developers, this may not alway be the case.
Also true, but also accessible (free) via the Web so the bang for the buck isn't there for me.

Once again, these are available (except for the betas) from the web. I may be jaded as I have a DSL connection and I can get these without waiting until the planets align themselves.
