Don't you hate it when you know there is a way around a problem but don't know how to find it? You can do this, as well as have question boxes with yes and no buttons etc. Keep searching the internet.

just did a quick search on "alert javascript" and found

var inputedData = prompt ("type something!", "" );

on javascript.internet.com/messages/confirm-alert.html
