Is there a faster way to bring them in? I mean I would like these to import much quicker and am open to changing the format that fox is presented with. Any Ideas?

When you import the files into the emtpy DBF, are there any indexes on the empty DBF? If so, try deleting them before the import, then restoring them afterward.
