Hmmm.... I've already converted our old 2.6 app to VFP 6, but I tried to run the 2.6 app on a W2K box and had no problem. I kicked some ideas around with my Netadmin and the best guess is you may have a problem with a "run in the background" program like a virus program interfering with your app's i/o. Try disabling or uninstalling virus software and the like and see if it makes a difference.
