>>>Hi all,
>>>
>>>I'm getting the error "Error Instantiating the Object" when calling up a form I have saved as a class. I've been calling this object for several months and, to my knowledge, have not updated that class's code for some time. I did upgrade to 5.0a, but I've got a client station reporting the same error that is still running 5.0. I've tried commenting out all init/load/activate code in the class, to no avail.

>The most likely culprit causing this error, (especially with forms as classes) is an incorrectly spelled field name in a controlsource. I know because I have hunted this one down MANY MANY times and it practically always means checking every control and verifying that the reference is correct (no stray letters, etc). You can sometimes track it to the page on a pageframe with the debugger but as soon as the debugger gets near the offending control, poof! it blows you out!

That was it (actually a field specified in a supposedly generic controlsource that was not present in one of the databases). Thanks for the help!
