Using API is not a solution, it's a problem!

The best method would be using just the TCP Winsock Control in VB 5. I would suggest you to refer to RFC 959 for the FTP commands, logging in sequence plus the port commands. Additionally RFC 1415 and RFC 1639 may be used for reference.
