I don't deploy executables on the LAN; the executables reside on the local system, and the temporary files generally are on local drives as well. There's no benefit to having the executable on the LAN, and unless local disk space is very limited, disk performance on local drives almost always is faster than LAN storage, and using local disk reduces LAN traffic. Locating executables or temp files on a LAN is poor practice unlessspecifc issues demand it. Using a launcher simplifiesthis process.
