You can send me of short sample of your data at dtm222@aol.com and I will send you a report back. I am suprised to hear the technique I mentionned didn't work for you because all it does is count the number of distinct (PI, AF, ID) sets. You have to create groups on PI and AF to be able to output the correct result in the AF group footer.
