I'm sure the CDX files do have impact on performance (after all they've got to be buffered too). However switching to IDX files is not a suitable alternative.

It's not that i've got real problems here, but I think this might be some issue that can be optimized and could help us VFP folks with slow form instantiation. In the past there were some troubles with forms with lots of objects, but today I think the most common cause of slow form instantiation is caused by loading the dataenvironment (and the misuse of the DELETED() tag, but thats another story). It would be nice if this could be optimized.
