Codebook is nice as both a development tool and learning tool. It can be a bit daunting, however. When we were developing in codebook we would have been unable to resolve many issues without the help of Ed Leafe who flew down to help us in our time of need (for a fee, of course ;) ).

I would say that codebook is overkill for small projects and inadequate for projects involving large numbers of tables--more than a few hundred.

If you have any specific questions regarding codebook, ask away. Lord knows I spend enought time learning it.
