>Can I just say that I agree with your opinion, an explanation should have been given. Craig was not so "impossibly busy" to respond, so should have taken the time to explain his response. It should not be up to someone else to add the explanation.
Sometimes that means I don't know. Sometimes it means it will take a while to research or test any prosposed response.

>I do disagree on one point though - I think you'll find that this isn't a community, rather a small clique of self-appointed experts
Everyone on this board seems an expert. It's hard to ask intelligent questions. All of us make most of our living by finessing technical support. Maybe we're not experts with most of the technology - but all of us are experts at finessing a little help - aren't you?

>who tolerate outsiders looking in, as long as they don't express opinions at variance with their own. The "inner sanctum" do not have to give explanations for their opinions, they are holy truths.
We're all outsiders - we're VFP developers - we get beatup everyday - yet persist in proving that our skills and tools will make the cut.

>The whole group has the air of a fanatical religious sect, blindly worshipping Foxpro
We don't worship foxpro - we sell our understanding of it for bread and gasoline.
> with a small group of high priests, whose proclaimations must be accepted as god-given truths
This statement assumes two abstract concepts: 1) There is an almighty force and there is a truth.
> questioning those words is tantamount to blasphemy.
BS - We have a lot of fun beating each other up. Erik Moore is a lot of fun to pick on. BTW: I have never seen 'tantamount' used conversationally. What were you asking about? I'll try and give it some time.
