Thanks for your help. I normally refer to http://freespace.virgin.net/sizzling.jalfrezi/ to find out things I need regarding html in general (in fact they have a pretty good tutorial on cascading style sheets), and they list several meta-tags for avoiding browser caches but all the definitions state that they don't always work.

I had tried the nochace tag you just mentioned and it didn't work at all for me, so I figured I'd ask to see how others solved this problem.

In a frameset this would mean in the content pages where your changing data is in. So you can make that part of the frameset that's static cacheable and force the browser to reload the content pages from the source.
