Not sure, you can use "minus" as a legal character in table name. Use underscore instead, e.g.
#DEFINE SYMBOLS "?!+-'%^&~()$"
lcTableName=strtran(chtran(lcTableName,SYMBOLS,replicate("~",12)),"~","")
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
