Sorry, Larry, I guess I didn't understand your exact problem. I tried this out on a 4 X 3 table & grid, and didn't have any problem with it jumping on line 3, just on line 4, IF (big if here) I designed the bottom edge of the grid one 'click' (sizing with the down arrow) past the bottom grid line. It simply looks like an extra wide line on my screen. This is VFP5.0a. When I reduced this line even a little, then it DID jump like yours on the 3rd line. Play with this. If you can get it to jump only on line 4 then my suggestion will work.
