>OTOH there really are a lot of new things we never asked for. For instance, the two dozen new database events, tasklist etc.

And not to forget dockable windows, an OLE DB provider (though that would kind of be a given, IMO), the document viewer, and other stuff I've forgotten.

Technology-wise, COM servers have a lot of enhancements, but it was previously brought up that this was to make VFP more .NET-centric. To some extent, I suppose this may be true, but I think it's more because of the VFP middle-tier story, and how we can improve COM servers to fit in that middle-tier. Plus, we can now get an early-binding interface, which AFAIK doesn't gain us anything as far as .NET is concerned, but is a big help IMO.

>BTW, I still haven't got around to use bookmarks in source. It's easy to set one, you just rightclick and select, but how do you GOTO (sounds familiar?) a bookmark?

There are hot-keys to jump from one bookmark to the next. I'm currently at a loss as to what those keys are (Alt-F2? Aww, shoot, that toggles a task list item, never mind). Anyway, there's a hot-key for it. Poke around in the help file. If you don't find anything, or no one else comes up with an answer, ping me and I'll resort to looking at the spec. :-)

Well, you'd kind of have to have access to the VFP source code to get some of it to work anyway. How else could you put the cute little icon in the editor window? :-)
