Only, to some extend. The cases i'm referring to I know this is not the case.

No it's a natural thing that happens in all tight communities. Nothing new here. Outsiders are often regarded as less knowledgable. If you're familiar with astronomy, you'll know some cases where the experts were proven wrong by outsiders. I'm strongly against hierarchy and therefore each claim of expertise of each case must be proven before recognized and not be proven because some expert says so. The most dangerous thing such a tight community causes is being narrow minded. For breaktroughs you can't afford narrow minds.
