Hi, Dragan.
>I do have a bunch of mixed feelings - while, partly, I do feel like a kid in a candy shop, not really knowing which goody to go with first, OTOH there really are a lot of new things we never asked for. For instance, the two dozen new database events, tasklist etc.
Actually, some people asked for database events in the past (just look at the UT wishlist), and the task list is something copied from the VS.Net IDE. All the other tools has it, too.
>BTW, I still haven't got around to use bookmarks in source. It's easy to set one, you just rightclick and select, but how do you GOTO (sounds familiar?) a bookmark? And the tasklist is exactly what I always wanted, but couldn't program myself.
You can loop around bookmarks, breakpoints, and -I think- any mark in the grey margin using F2.
Finally, I like the DBC events, but I think something is missing there to make the DB really secure. You can still USE the DBC and alter anything. As Antonio Castaño pointed a few days ago, there is no events for the critical COMPILE DATABASE, that allows you to alter the event code and recompile it.
Anyway, overall I think that most of the changes are headed to improve team development: from the tasklist to the DBC events, and so on. Indeed, I see it as a tradition for the Fox team that I haven't seen in other development environments.
