Thanks, what I did was strip out everything from the GUID so it was alphanumeric and then put some text on the front. It all works fine now.

I am sticking with the GUID, as this is within a COM object's method, and I expect it to be called a lot, so I don't want to take any chances with sys(3) or by generating wait states for sys(3), etc.
