I've experienced similar problems, and it hasn't been the delay setting on the menus. I get long delays when ever any program uses an open or save dialog box. When I select the file to open, or the file to save, and click the open/save button, I get up to a 60 second delay before the dialog box goes away and the application opens/saves it data. The delay isn't just a delay in that application, the whole system hangs (task bar won't open, nothing responds). It seems to have something to do with accessing the desktop directory. I've noticed it more with applications that default the open/save dialog box to the desktop. Also, I get the delay when right-clicking on a file and selecting Send-To. It delays for up to 60 seconds before the send-to popup appears. Again, the whole system is locked up during this delay.

>sometimes when clicking the start bar, the start button will remain depressed for about 60-90 seconds before the popup comes up ( if at all ). the same happens when trying to follow a link in the start bar to another menu or when navigating direcotries with windows explorer.
