You can place your DBF files in your Linux home. Then map a drive to the server from your windows clients
in order to access them. This works on Red Hat 6.2 installed as a server. The speed is a bit slow in my opinion as you must connect to the server each time you access this drive.

You will not be able to compile or run a VFP exe however as it is purely windows based.
But there are windows emulators or your can use a client or Termanal server client to connect to a windows PC and compile.
