>>>Whoa, in the city of brotherly love?< G > Yea, you'd think with all that mugging there'd be a lot more Republicans up there! Here in Memphis it's quite a bit safer, I've never been hit bH*8nfire, and only been shot at 4 times!!!

>>The last Republican mayor I can remember in Philly was Rizzo, but his ideas of law and order bordered on criminal. Center City is a small bastion of wealthy professionals. It is surrounded on all sides by a sprawling under economy and the largest ghetto I've ever seen. It's no wonder the city of brotherly love has become the city of rancor and hatred! BTW, if you stay away from those married women, you won't be shot at so often! <g>

>Nah, it wasn't them, it was drug dealers!

Oh, I see. BTW, my wife is Colombian. Her family is from the mountains outside of Cali. Here father is a retired coffee farmer. He owns one of the largest plantations in the region. When my brother-in-law graduated from college with a degree in chemistry, drug lords were driving up to his house in 4X4's and handing him the keys in an effort to recruit him. (No lie!) Knowing that a hit on you from a rival gang meant exterminating your entire family (My wife comes from a family of seventeen, including the parents.), he ended up working for the National Coffee Federation of Colombia. What a blood bath that would have been! He is now their chief taster. He has his own lab where he hand picks and roasts the best beans from all over Colombia. The best of the best he bags up and ships to me. This stuff is better than drugs. I actually have pictures with Juan Valdez! (I met him at a coffee convention in Philadelphia) He is a real person and is a true farmer. That donkey you used to see him with in TV commercials was his donkey. The donkey is dead now. (I asked.)

Anyway, I have no idea where I'm going with this thread, and it probably doesn't belong in this section. (Sysop, feel free to move it at your convenience!) <g> Keep your head down, and keep smiling!
