After I changed some relationships amoung the tables in the form's dataenvironment, the problem disappeared. I still don't know how. The assign method is in the base class of the TextBox and it's purpose to update the value of another TextBox (disabled - display only) based on the value in the current TextBox.
I did check the controlsource and it is bount to a field.
Actually, the tables in the dataenvironments of the forms I have created so far are opened not exclusively. When I check the data session interactively, the status bar tells me that the current selected record is "Record Unlocked" rather than "Exclusive". Is there a place where you can set the default value of the "Exclusive" property of a cursor in a dataenvironment?
Thanks for your help!
