I realize this reply is coming very late, but, well, I just got into this thing, you may want to use the .tag property, since you will be both able to read and set this property at run time. Using the tag is also a nice system since many systems of scanning for data accross multiple controls uses the .tag as an identifier or which controls are ready to do certain things, but as lee said, it really depends on what you are actually trying to accomplish by reading the .name property.
