You can write code using API calls, make an EXE and make it run as the final process of the installation (the wizard let you do this).

Anyway, I prefer to setup the connection trough a string at application startup, with all components stored in a config. table. That method give you better control and avoid the risk of anyone messing around the ODBC at the control panel.
