>>Are you sure COPY MEMO is doing what you want? What is in WinRpt.FRX and WinRpt.FRT? Are they regular report files, or are FRX and FRT names of memo fields of WinRpt that contain the names of the reports? How can a text file with the extention of .FRX/.FRT be turned into a report?

George,

I tried to duplicate what you are doing. (I'd forgotten about APPEND MEMO - good idea.) It did not put new information in the Expr, Tag1 and Tag2 fields, but I'm sure that's what's happening somehow. My attempts to cause the printer information to be modified don't work, though I don't have a choice of printers here.

I'm at a dead end. I'd deleted the copies of the reports. I'd look for copies on her hard drive too.
