>>Not lately, but I spent a magical Charistmas in the enchanted valley of Aspen a few years back. What a time I had!

http://www.shelbynet.com/hunting/colorado2000Beautiful pictures! When I was a boy, my parents sent me to a canoeing camp in North Bay, Ontario. I spent four consecutive summers up there, trekking through the wilderness with 6 guys and three canoes. We used the old-fashioned, canvas canoes. We did not take any provisions, so we had to learn how to survive on the land. What an experience! Aside from our group, I did not see another human being the whole time I was there.
My grandfather sent my father to the camp, and my father sent me. When my son is old enough, I will be sending him, too.
If you like the mountains, nothing beats the Swiss Alps. I went to a boarding school there in the Canton of Valais, in the town of Bluche, which is near Lauzanne. The school was just below the tree line. Sunsets and sunrises were spectacular. We used ride the telecabine to the top of the glacier and ski down to school. It took almost half a day (if you took you time). Life is so grande, it's hard to believe we can waist our time getting stressed over stupid little stuff.
